After a month of house hunting from Jan. 19th to Feb 21st, we finally found our dream house. We are moving to a new city, its called Fallbrook. Its just 20miles away from where we live now. Not that bad for Jim's commute to work. We tried to stay here in Oceanside but all the houses we looked at needs a lot of work which we are willing to do but we are not really 100% on it though we made some bids on a couple of them, we are so glad it fell through. The newer homes on the other hand have Mello-Roos (builders passing on the cost of roads, parks, etc. to the homebuyers) of $4000++/year, which is a big waste of our money so forget about them!
We were tapped out on the choices here in Oceanside so we decided to look somewhere else.
So we look at Fallbrook and found this new houses being built. We are so lucky we got there in time because they only have 2 houses left to sell that will be available this year. Of course when you look at the Model Homes you can't help but fall in love right away with it. It was decorated so beautifully. It really gives you the feeling that this is where you want to live. The model homes were the last house hunting we did and we fell in love with the floorplan and we decided right there and then we found our dream house. This is it, it really is saved the best for last.
To check out the model home of our house, click on www.khov.com, Lake Rancho Viejo is the name of our community. Its still San Diego county. Our house is Residence 4, Exterior C. Our house will have 5 bedrooms and 1 bonus room, so its really 6 bedroom house and 3 full bath. With our growing family, this is the right size for us. Enough room for guests too. It really is a nice community. A very good neighborhood to raise your kids.
Our house will be ready end of June 2009. Its perfect timing. It'll give us enough time to pack our stuff and for baby Caitlyn to settle in to this world too. But of course we just can't wait till its June!
As for our current house we don't know yet if we are gonna rent or sell it. We'll see how the economy revolves in the next few months.

Just 2 days after giving birth have to go to the Design Gallery to pick out the cabinetry, countertops, flooring, window treatments, etc. We have to select the stuff already because we have a time line to follow.
